My Survey Results

My Survey Results
These are the results gathered from an individual survey I created focussed on the environmental and ethical side of the brand.

These results show how there is little to no promotion from the brand about a sustainable range, past of present .

These comments show that their audience think that it would be a great idea to bring back a range like this, not only having more of a positive impact on the environment but also on the company and their audience range. Having to create less new materials cuts down on manufacturing and labour costs, meaning sale prices can be lower while still bringing in a good profit, this type of range would also bring in a new audience, those that prefer to shop sustainably could look at Topshop as one of their go to shops.

This shows a mixed range of responses however the general consensus is that the audience think this would be a good change to the brand with people agreeing that the workers should be considered more when thinking of the type of clothes a brand is bringing out and making this change would bring them more into consideration and not overworking them. Some also commenting that fast fashion is toxic as you can go into a shop one week and then go in the next and there will be completely different stock, meaning a lot of waste and a fast turn around puts popes off going as they can't find consistency in their purchases, making this change would change peoples opinions on the brand and think of it more as a go to, reliable brand rather than a brand that whips out clothes as fast as it can just to keep with trends.

The main response to this question is that if an influencer or celebrity puts their name to s brand or product they should be fully knowledgeable on every aspect of the project, even manufacturing, which most celebrities are as they visit the factories of which their products are made, meaning they would see the conditions. Also celebrities who already have a good living like Beyonce shouldn't have to rely on things like this for profit, so this is like a side project for her, if she wants to be involved and put her name to it she should understand every part of it, especially being such huge role model, putting her name to a range with such negative press puts this image out to her massive audience, there should be a thought about how it will look to the audience and the type of business sense she was promoting.

The general response is that the fashion industry as a whole should put more thought into their impact on the environment, textile waste and landfill being some of the most damaging situations affecting the environment in the current age, more thought should be put into sustainably and ethically manufacturing the clothes and making sure disposing of the clothes has as little impact as is possible.

These results show people might find it hard to find other places to shop however they are aware of the negatived now of shopping in the high street and are more likely to put thought into where their clothes come from

This is a good response to the question, it shows that being brought more awareness to these issues makes the audience think more about the environment and sustainability when shopping, changes from shoppers can help create a change in the bigger picture swell as changes on the end of brands.
