Social Media and Influencer Marketing
Topshop's current social media strategies are strange as mentioned in previous posts their styles seem to change constantly and are ineffective at having an impact on their audience, more likely than not being plain and unrecognisable as being Topshop, featuring only the type of women they like to promote. They have no running theme or imagery that is recognisable as their own unlike competitors who make more of an impact online tho have their own individual styles that help them stand out against such a big market. Topshop grew on the high street successfully however, being an online retailer is a new strategy for them in terms of business growth, as of now it seems as though they seen it as an extra not a platform in which to gain an audience and reach a wider number of people.
Current Social Media and Influencer Marketing Mood board
Current Social Media and Influencer Marketing Mood board
This mood board shows Topshop's current style in social media, the style is very simple and plain and uses a lot of influencer images. Most of their posts consist of skinny models with pale skin, there is little to no diversity involved on their social media platforms and a lot of the time their feeds look mis matched with multiple different styles of posts mixed in with each other, there is not much consistency in the design and overall image of they social media.
Proposed Social Media and Influencer Marketing Mood Board
This mood board was meant to be an example of what their social media could look like to be more effective at catching eyes and being memorable in the eyes of people who see hundreds of different styles every time the go on social media. The redesign includes a diverse range of models an d influencers in the posts, showing inclusivity in the brand and the acknowledgement of more than one type of women, it also includes a range of examples of how they could make their feeds stand out as a whole, because as of now if you looked at Topshop's instagram feed there is no consistency with their posts, they look mismatched rather than like a collection of posts promoting the same image. The styling and design of the new aesthetic is a lot more eye caring and exciting compared to the plain and simple posts included in their posts currently.
